Best look Pebble yet, Color e, paper display, Extra, long battery life, Works with iOS, Android
More expensive, Too much bezel, Limited colors so far, Longer wait time
Pebble Time Steel is the grown-up version of the new Kickstarter-backed smartwatch with stainless steel casing instead of plastic. It'll cost you more money and you'll have to wait, but that's the price of looking debonair....

The Pebble Steel may not have a high-res and colourful screen and the square design may not be for everyone, but we think it's stylish and the display has a retro charm which also provides excellent battery life. A good alternative to Android Wear if that...

A classic, sharplooking design; works with iPhones and Android phones; screen readable in bright daylight; swimand showerfriendly; builtin pedometer for persistent fitness tracking; wide variety of quirky apps.
Older technology compared to competition; onboard storage limited to eight apps at a time; still requires charging twice a week; lacks heartrate monitor or more advanced fitness features
The competition is advancing fast, but the fashionable, functional, and more affordable Pebble Steel's conservative approach puts it at the top of the 2014 smartwatch heap....
Works with Android and iOS, Excellent battery life, Easy to use
Monochrome design, Only Cosmetically different from cheaper Pebble
Like the original Pebble, the Pebble Steel is possibly the most convincing smartwatch we've seen so far, thanks largely to its excellent battery life, straightforward functionality and growing collection of dedicated applications. It's a highly recommende...
Minor build flaws, Limited display, No Windows Phone support,
The Pebble Steel improves on just about aspect of the original - it's much better looking, feels premium in the hand and impresses with clever apps and a well thought out operating system. It may lack the specs of its Android Wear rivals, but the battery...
The Pebble Steel has really taken me by surprise, my previous experiences with SmartWatches had left me a little confused as to what the point was, the Steel however is more of an extension of the device itself as opposed to a weird little device in itsel...

Premium design, metal and leather straps included, ease of use, expanding apps library, phone sync recognises multiple Pebble devices
Slow menu, apps don't offer much unless you can find one that really makes a difference for you, iOS notifications are all or nothing
As a piece of technology the Pebble Steel is fantastic. It delivers the same brilliant experience as the original Pebble in a device that looks far more premium. However with that discreet new look comes a different way of using the device - an issu...

Comfortable, looks like a real watch, Five day battery life, iOS and Android compatible, App store has bags of potential
More expensive than original Pebble, Screen could be a bit bigger
Pebble Steel verdict Open Gallery Did we mention the Pebble Steel is the best smartwatch you can buy? Well it is. Nothing's perfect - we'd like a slightly bigger (colour e-paper?) screen to fill the watchface and give some of Pebble's new apps r...

It's puuuuurty. The Pebble Steel's main goal is just to look more respectable than the nerd-toy it is, and it pulls that off wonderfully. Between the two bands included, it's easy to find the setup that works for you. And on top of that, the nice-looking
Most of my quibbles with the Pebble are small, but they're magnified all the more considering everything around them is so stupid simple and good. You can't customise how long a notification stays on the screen, for instance. Notifications auto-dismiss af
If you want a smartwatch that doesn't look terrible and you want it right now, then sure. The Pebble Steel is pretty much the only option out there that combines the best notifications-on-your-wrist-ness of a smartwatch, the style of a legitimate piece of...
